The Air Force 1 athletic shoe, is a product of Nike, Inc. created by designer Bruce Kilgore. This was the first basketball shoe to use the Nike Air technology

The name is a reference to Air Force One, the plane that carries the President of the United States. The shoes are sold in three different types: the low, the mids, and the hightops and come in many different colorways, forms, textures, and patterns. The two most common forms of the Air Force 1s are the all-white and all-black pairs. The High-Top Air Force 1 is a variation of the shoe and comes with a removable strap and a higher top.

The Air Force 1 was produced in 1982 and discontinued the following year. It was re-released in 1986 with the modern italic Nike logo with a Swoosh on the bottom on the back of the shoe. Little has changed to the Air Force One since its creation in 1982, although the original stitching on the side panels is no longer present in modern versions of the shoe. Since then, over 1,700 color variations have been produced, bringing in an estimated 800 million USD/year in revenue. The selling of the Air Force Ones online by certain retailers is prohibited by Nike who has restricted supply of the sneaker.

Nike Air Force 1s were originally considered the favored shoe of inner-city youth, then hip-hop artists and streetball players. Rappers Nelly and The St. Lunatics collaborated on a 2002 single entitled "Air Force Ones" about the shoes. As a performance shoe, the AF1 is still used for street play as well as for professional play. NBA players Rasheed Wallace and Jerry Stackhouse have used AF1s for games before.

The "Air Force 2" shoe introduced in 1987 is a newer variation of the original. The shoe is a typical flat-soled, casual-wear sneaker that can be made in many different variations of colors. Also, Air Force 2s were re-released internationally in the early 2000s. They can be made in either the low-cut or high-top style. The shoe can be custom made in any color, but typically it has either a white or black based background color with almost any color used to fill in the Nike Swoosh and back heel.

In 2007, for the 25th anniversary of the original Air Force 1, Nike created the Air Force XXV, which got its inspiration from original Air Force 1 invented in 1982. A commercial for the Air Force XXV included LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash, Shawn Marion, Rasheed Wallace, Tony Parker, Jermaine O'Neal, Amar'e Stoudemire, Chris Paul, and Paul Pierce, featuring the music of Juelz Santana (the Second Coming). Since its introduction, many different Air Force 1s have been designed or inspired by celebrities and athletes. This list includes Keelan Miller, Jay-Z, LeBron James, Rasheed Wallace, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Chris Paul and numerous others.

Slur is Rock'n Roll band that is very popular in group of indy.

SLUR’s Biography

Formed in 2005, SLUR was started by Yeah, singer, guitarist and Aims, drummer. They met each other at the New Year party at their friend’s house. After the jamming session, they’re watching TV, then The Strokes’ MV, ‘Last Night’ appeared on the screen. Right then, they both agreed that they want to make music that very simple but requires a lot of effort on sound design. Therefore, they’re starting a project named, ‘The Save Par’. They made 50 CDs that were completely sold out at Fat Festival 3. After that they think that playing music only 2 person isn’t fun enough so they started finding other members to fulfill the band. Aims recommended his friend from high school, Galib, to play bass. In the day that Aims and Yeah met Galib, he came with Bank, the trumpet player. Yeah thought that it would be interesting having trumpet in the band, so Bank became the part of the band since then. After having 4 members, they’re start making the demo to make them play in the show called Live in a day, which let new band make an audition and be able to show their songs off on big stage. Here comes the story of the band’s name, they still had no idea about it but they need it to labeled on the demo CD. Out of nowhere, Bank came up with the word ‘Slur’ that he studied from his trumpet class. Everyone agreed on that name because it link with the word ????? in Thai, which means the one who do silly and non sense think that make the others shout the word ????? out loud. That demo really gives SLUR a chance to play on Live in a day 2. Unfortunately, the rain fell down and SLUR was stopped before they get on stage, in order to let other famous bands play. Naturally, sad things come with good. They were stopped before playing, so a day give them compensation by let them put their song on A Day album 3. Consequently, the song named ‘A Day’ by SLUR, was the first song that the band has distributed.

The second part of the band story, come with new members. Yeah think that only one guitar wasn’t enough, so he started finding another guitarist to play the melody part. He finally met Pae at one rehearsal studio. Impressed by his hairstyle not his skill, Yeah asked Pae to play with SLUR. After Pae listen to the band rehearsal at Galib house, he accepted Yeah’s invitation. Having Pae as a new guitarist, SLUR has a new practicing studio, which is Pae’s house. Then another change has to be made, because Galib, has to go work, so SLUR has to find another new member. The new bassist wasn’t that hard to find, after an audition of two guys, Boo! was the third one who stepped into Pae’s house. Unlike the past two, the band agree that Boo! is the new bassist since he appear. He has a fine rocker look that’s very hard to find in Thai young adults. Surprisingly, not only his look that’s suit the band’s need, but also his bass skill is simply fantastic. Consequently, SLUR has the five lines up since then.

After having full members, SLUR was practicing hard in order to making a good show in Live in A Day 3, it’s a postpone one from last time that they’re stopped before playing. By that time, SLUR asked their friends to give them a chance to play, mostly in the University party. They didn’t has no demo or label, so it was hard for Slur to have the place to play. Fortunately, they have many friends that mostly in their age, which is the third year in the Universities, thus they have a chance to play many times. After live in A Day, the band were working on the demo, in order to get the label and be able to play more live. Eight songs demo was finished with completed artwork and package. They send this demo to three labels, one of them is Smallroom. On the day they send the demo to Smallroom, they realized from the comments that their band isn’t good enough in the quality part, even though they do best in the style and idea. Therefore, Smallroom give them a year to improve. During that gap period before launching album, Slur is making more demo songs and send them to Smallroom, almost 30 songs has been made. From the fact that before the album came out, Slur was know as a new comers in Thai Indy scene, so they have a chance to play in the many independent festival such as Fat Fest, So-on, Panda and DudeSweet. Moreover, Smallroom take them on tour with the bands in the label. Many shows that Slur has played make them become one of the most interesting live band in Thailand.

One year past, Slur has 11 good songs in hand, so they’re start recording the full album named Boo!, which come from the name of the bassist. Intentionally, the band want the album’s name has neither meaning nor sense, so they agree on the name of one of the members. Apparently, Boo! is the most powerful name when compared to Aim, Bank, Pae and Yeah. On the 5th of October, Boo! was launched, by Slur get full credit, ranged from the producing to art work. Slur was becoming of the best new comers in Thailand. They make hype in rock n’ roll kids, they won awards, they has number one hit single, they’re on the cover of the magazines, they Rocks!.

After 2 years since Boo! Was released, Slur has a beautiful chance to go to Germany. Thanks for Noisedeluxe records, an indie label who has seen the band headlined in Fat Festival 6 and be impressed by the sound and performance at that time. Therefore, they purchase the master of Boo! And release it all over Germany. Moreover, in February 2008 Noisedeluxe has set 10 days tour at 7 venues for Slur to rock in Germany. Slur has proved that music is truly universally understanding, the atmosphere in the gigs were great, people dance along and asked for many encores.

Its 1978, we are not talking about the dark ages here, yet the world of sport still yearns for performance enhancing apparel that will protect them from our unpredictable climates.

A study project by Hollister on the people of the native coast of America, will prove to be the answer athletes were looking for.

These Native Americans had the foresight to weave fine strips of cedar bark together producing an almost weather resistant cape, protecting them from rain and to a degree would keep them warm.

Lightweight and weather resistant, ventilated and yet still warm, Hollister had found an unlikely source of inspiration that will change the face of sport.

Hollister's initial thoughts were to name his apparel the Cape Suit, athletes tried and tested the Cape Suit, and it was a winner.

In 1980 Nike sponsored athletes at the U.S Track and Field trials in Oregon were to bring the apparel to the forefront of the public eye, however Nike had decided that the jacket alone would now be named the Nike Windrunner.

In its 30 year history, the Nike Windrunner jacket has kept to its principles, the 26 degree chevron styling, good breath ability, wind and rain resistance on most styles of jacket.

However there are styles of Windrunner available that are designed for the more fashion orientated amongst us, for instance the Tech Pack range or the Nike Air Max editions.

Then of course there is the Nike L.A Sunset Windrunner, arguably the most extravagant jacket which unzips completely through the middle so it may be separated and matched with its twin colourway.
